Alliance To End Hunger – Partnering With Diverse Organizations For A Hunger Free World

Alliance to End Hunger was established in the year 2001 as an initiative of Bread for the world. It is a union of over 90 members that consists of individuals, corporations, non-profits, faith-based organizations, international organizations, secular and faith-based organizations, foundations and universities. Fight against hunger is a fight that is a responsibility of every human alive, and even as the world has progressed to give rise to a new era of development in just about every field, there are millions of infants, children, and adults who are suffering from malnutrition due to lack of food.

The driving force of the members of the alliance may be different, but the end goal to address the issue of hunger is same. The Alliance to End Hunger follows four main principles to achieve long-term results, which are as follows –

  • Building strong partnerships.
  • Creating a political will.
  • Creating hunger-free communities. Building communities that are hunger free through the self-sustainable model.
  • National Alliance Coalition Programs.

The Alliance to End Hunger has over 90 members, some of which are –

Islamic Relief USA

It is a secular community that offers a broad range of relief and development support. The community has been active for over 25 years and had hundreds and thousands of volunteers, donors, partners, supporters, and staff. The organization has seven offices in the United States. Islamic Relief USA has the vision to end poverty across the globe and follows the values derived from teachings in Quran, the Holy Book of Islam. The community provides its support in a dignified manner and is secular in nature. Alliance to End Hunger works with IRUSA to build hunger-free communities, not only in the United States but across the globe.

Bread For The World

“Bread for the World” is an internationally acclaimed association that formed Alliance to End Hunger and is a sister concern now. Bread for the World does extensive global research on hunger and builds strategies to end it. The organization develops a hunger report each year that helps to educate the public, leaders, and policymakers about how the hunger is a widespread issue that needs to addressing.

Feeding Children Everywhere

Feeding Children Everywhere is an association that has a hands-on approach to ending hunger and provides a meal for four children for every dollar it receives. The organization is very transparent in its approach and aims to make a difference.

Just like the groups mentioned above, Alliance to End Hunger works with many other high-impact organizations to create awareness, build political commitment, raise funds, build hunger-free communities, reach out to hungry, and research in-depth on ways to end hunger around the world.
